Our Instructors
Our Martial Arts Instructors have spent years devoted to training in the art of Tang Soo Do and have attained high levels of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors. Our instructors believe in the "quality over quantity" principle and have instilled high standards for success in both their teaching styles and their own personal development.
Through extensive testing, certification and continuing education, our instructors have acquired an excellent reputation with proven results and now enjoy sharing their knowledge and passing it on to their students.
Master Dale E. Simmons (Master)
Master Dale Simmons began studying Tang Soo Do in the spring of 1986 under the instruction of Sensei Ken Ludlow (retired) earning his first Degree Black Belt (Cho Dan) on August 19,1990. With over two decades of dedicated training in the discipline of Tang Soo Do, Mr. Simmons has earned the rank of (Sah Dan) 4th Degree Black Belt.

Omer M. Bahkiet (Yi Dan)
Mr. Omer Bahkiet has studied Tang Soo Do under Master Dale Simmons since 2001. He continues to provide great examples of leadership, dedication and a passion for the martial arts through his conduct as both a student and instructor. Mr. Bahkiet is now working toward his Third Degree (Sam Dan) Blackbelt in Tang Soo Do and is currently a student at Augusta State University. As a young man of incredible maturity and demonstrated discipline, Mr. Bahkiet has held to the highest standards of our school making him a true ambassador of Dale Simmons Tang Soo Do.

Bridget S. Schausten (Yi Dan)
Mrs. Bridget Schausten has studied Tang Soo Do under Master Dale Simmons since 1999. She was promoted to First Degree Blackbelt (Cho Dan) in October 2003 and earned her 2nd Degree (Yi Dan) Blackbelt on August 4, 2006. Mrs. Schausten currently lives in West Virginia and makes frequent trips to Augusta, GA to further her martial arts training under Master Simmons. She is a proven example of the loyalty and unwavering discipline required to be a successful martial artist and we are very proud to have her in our martial arts family.

Colin D. Swearingen (Yi Dan)
Mr. Colin Swearingen has been studying Tang Soo Do under Master Dale Simmons since 1998 and acquired his First Degree Blackbelt (Cho Dan) in February 2005 and his 2nd Degree Blackelt (Yi Dan) on March 16, 2007. Mr. Swearingen began studying the martial arts at 9 years of age and has evolved into a young man of impeccable talent, as well as, one of excellent character. He now attends Georgia Tech majoring in the field of Coastal Engineering.

Christine J. Simmons (Yi Dan)
Mrs. Christine J. Simmons achieved the rank of Cho Dan (1st Degree Blackbelt) on March 16, 2007 and Yi Dan (2nd Degree Blackbelt) on July 28, 2009. Mrs. Simmons is actively teaching while working toward the rank of Sam Dan (3rd Degree Blackbelt).
